Recently, we attended an event as a family and had to park a decent distance from the venue. We had one moderately sized umbrella. (admittedly, we should have brought 2 and will in the future). We were running exactly on time so we had to move at a moderate pace towards the building, which made it impossible for all of us to stay dry under the umbrella. Being that my daughter and I have hair styles that get ruined in the rain, I expected that my husband would let her and I use the umbrella to at least keep our heads dry since his hair style would be unaffected by getting wet. He was very offended that I would expect that of him and asked why he’s the one expected to take one for the team when we can all use it. In the end, all 3 of us under the umbrella did not effectively keep us dry and my daughter and I had wet hair by the time we arrived at the event.
