I’ll try keep this short, essentially there are 8 people who can definitely make the holiday date in september but also august. There is one guy unsure of his exam dates and is adamant that it is impossible for him to find them out. For some reason he seems to think that the exams won’t get set in the last week of august but past september they will get set. This is where the problem arises, I am due to finish my degree this year as well as one of my other mates coming on the holiday is finishing as well. We are both currently pretty skint. The guy who is unsure on his exam dates also says he is not even 100% sure if he can even make it if the holiday is planned for end of august. The problem with planning it in august it increases the overall cost of the holiday from 50-100% in cost what then makes it too expensive for me to afford. It just feels like a dumb waste of money for the possibility of one of mates to come, and the overall increase for 8 people works out at a lot. The other 6 in the group of mates have all been working jobs for years and never went to university so they have plenty of cash on hand and don’t understand how skint uni can make you. It feels as if they’re viewing me as selfish for trying to persuade them to go in September instead of august.
