I 24f and my bf 27m both work and I recently picked up a second job since life is impossible right now. But not even 30 minutes before typing this we woke up to get ready for work and I only slept maybe 3 hours after a 13 1/2 hour day yesterday so I was frustrated and truthfully in quiet tears from the exhaustion. I made a comment that the cat had been yowling all night and I didn't sleep much. He FLEW off the handle, screaming, yelling, name calling and slaming doors not even 5 minutes into being awake. I got screamed at that all I've done is bitch at him "all day" (again awake for 5 minutes, alarm was at 615 and this happened at 620) as I was trying to find my clothes for work. It devolved into him telling me I'm stupid for thinking I could work 2 jobs and that he knew I wouldn't be able to handle it and has been pushing me to quit my second job since I didn't like it. (Who is lucky enough to have 2 jobs they truly like?) So when I asked him if he expected me to fail he got louder and left when he was supposed to take me to work since it's storming and I usually walk. But I caved and quit my second job this morning to try and give him what he wants but he's already screamed in my face to have a nice life since he's getting his shit and leaving. I tell him all the time that I appreciate him as a person and everything he does for me and for us but he's turned around claiming I never say thank you or appreciate what he does, when he is also telling me to stop saying thank you all the time? I don't understand what I'm supposed to do here, according to him I'm a dick because I was working 2 jobs and now I'm a dick because I did what he wanted and quit. Am I the asshole? I only got the second job because we where surviving on only my income for 5 months because he was in-between jobs and I needed to be able to feed us. The second job was also to try and pad savings so we can move out of our current living situation. Am I in the wrong and not seeing something that he is? Any insight would be appreciated.
