I (36f) just found out I'm pregnant with baby #4. My husband and I have been married for 10 years. We moved 800 miles away from home when I was pregnant with baby #1 10 years ago. I'm not terribly close with my mom. She will stop by our house on the way to her vacation. She will set aside one day out of her two weeks to see the grandkids (10,8,6). She's done this three years now. She has seen us a total of 30 days in the last ten years. And we talk on the phone for maybe an hour every other month.

I'm super early in my 4th pregnancy. And in serious thinking about not saying anything about it and just showing up to Christmas with a baby. IMO I don't see why her knowing would change anything. I live far away, and I feel like it doesn't really affect her. She's never thrown me a baby shower or gotten me anything big for any of my kids only stuff from the dollar store. She does know we were trying for the last two years.

I wouldnt tell the in-laws either. And they would be surprised too. (Mother in law is sick and can't see anyone until November) honestly I know they wouldn't be mad. The only one that would know would be my brother and that's because he calls me weekly. 🤷‍♀️
