Tldr; my(27F) boyfriend(43M) and I just found out I'm pregnant. I am extremely nervous, and he made a joke that he is going to be at the casino when I give birth, and he will allow someone to text him to tell him when the baby is close.

(Mobile user so pls forgive me) Background: My boyfriend since I've known him has loved to go gambling, and we usually go and play pennyslots or one specific game and then peoplewatch for a few hours because it's fun. It's kind of our tradition.

It's never to excess as far as money goes, and if we run out of predetermined gambling money, we stop and don't go for a few weeks until we have some extra money to spend, and only go to the local ones for free play or the gifts they give out. We have other Hobbies, go biking on trails, and enjoy a good murder mystery together.

He usually doesn't have his ringer on when in the casino, which means sometimes it's difficult to reach him.

We found out I'm pregnant, and I've been freaking out all weekend because I don't know how I'm going to manage all my responsibilities. He has been joking the whole time and said we will be fine.

At one point I told him that once I was past 24 weeks roughly, I'd want him to have his ringer on for me at all times, just in case.

He told me that he would not, because he will just slip my OBGYN a 100 dollar bill to call him when I'm actually close to having it.

He's always joking, but I think he is serious. I told him if he missed the birth of our baby because he was too busy gambling, I'd break up with him.
