So I’m subleasing my high rise apartment in a luxury building for just one month. The person subleasing kind of found me, I wasn’t necessarily looking for someone. Anyway they are starting a new lease somewhere else and it doesn’t start until 6/1, so they need a place for the month. Here’s the thing: they’ve already asked to move in on the 29th which I said no to and we agreed on the 30th. Now they’re asking to be able to move out on the 1st vs the 31st. My dilemma is I feel bad because this person will have to find a hotel or friend for one night. But if they don’t I’d be the one that would have to do that. So it’s inconvenient for one of us. I feel like the AH even though I think it’s fair since I’m already giving up one extra day this month and having to take off work etc. I should also add that they are not paying the full rent. Their budget was less than what I pay and I felt bad because they seem to be in a bind.
