He got accepted into some of the hardest colleges to get into in the U.S. He had amazing test scores, a decent GPA, an outstanding dual enrollment GPA, an amazing college essays, and multiple full rides for esports, academics, and athletics.
His reasoning is that none of the Top 20 schools including all the Ivies have a nursing major, and that’s his goal. But honestly, he could just go to a good school for pre-med and then apply to a top Master of Science in Nursing program.
I know it’s his decision, but he’s the only person in our entire county to get accepted into this many top schools. I feel like it’s stupid of him to choose a local state school.
That said, he told me the local state school offered him guaranteed job placement, guaranteed clinical and non-clinical research opportunities, a guaranteed pre-med mentor for all four years, and even a stipend.
I still think it’s a dumb move he rejected the top four best schools in America.
