I’m 36, she’s 32, she’s good looking, flirty and a nice person to talk to. She also has double standards. A work colleague of mine messaged me to ask about a work update (female), she saw the message on my phone (in my hand at the time) pulled the phone off and looked at the profile pic. Asking why she was messaging after work.

She plays a game on her mobile, which has a sister app to message people and discover things for the game. Randomly some guy had been liking and commenting on her posts linked to the game. Subsequently she showed me her communication app asking why it was working properly, we’ve had a couple of rocky weeks for other unrelated things, but then I saw in her inbox the guy was at the top and she’d messaged him that day. I jokingly asked if she had now decided to start talking to the stranger, she told me she didn’t talk to him and that he had messaged her.

Forward 2 weeks, we’re having a discussion and I asked why she looked at my phone that day. She said she thought I was messaging the girl, for no reason, inappropriately. I asked to look at the messages she had sent to this guy. She was reluctant at first but then did. She’s had full blown conversations with a stranger, initially starting with the game but then moving on to talk about her cats and dogs, her personal life (social life) yet she told me she didn’t communicate with him.

Am I wrong or is this outright lying and cheating? Maybe not affair cheating, but micro cheating as it’s called?

What would you guys do?
