I crochet items and sell them and my grandma asked me to make her a crochet basset hound and offered to pay. So I base the price of my products around the cost of materials, pattern cost, and time so when she reaches out to me and asks me to make the crochet basset hound I tell her I will calculate the price of it when I am done because honestly I have no idea how long something will take so I don't know the price. Well I buy the materials and make it it took me 8 hours to make it and the materials + pattern add up to 20$ I charge by the hour 10$ an hour so the price was 110$. She is upset by that she claims I needed to be more transparent that I would charge her for something she offered to pay for and she is upset that I said I would pay 110$ for something I wanted yes I get the price is steep but she knew what she was getting into and she claims all of this was because she saw everyone else getting something and wanted something as well but the thing is the only people who got something for free were my mom (early mother's day gift) and my little sister (birthday present) and now I feel like a bad person because my grandma offered to pay for something and then got mad at the price. My mom says I did nothing wrong but this isn't the first time my grandma has done something like this.
