My husband’s sister has been in and out of a relationship with her kids father for years, however in 2024 she stated that she was done with him for good, however she keeps reposting memes about him and showed up to a family outing with him hand in hand when everyone thought she was done with him for good. So naturally people started making assumptions, including my husband and for a long time believed his sister and her kids father were still together even though she kept denying it. Fast forward to mid 2024. She announced on Facebook that she is in a new relationship with a guy, ok my husband and I just believed she is still caught up on her ex since she posts about him none stop even though she is in this new relationship

A week ago I said to my husbands, “it seems your sister and her new boyfriends broke up, they bother removed their relationship status from Facebook” this morning I got to work, he sent me a screenshot of a post that his sister tagged this new boyfriend in with whom she had removed her relationship status; my husbands messages”Hopefully you learn to stop being so concerned about what’s going on in other people life and to stop assuming” initally I got very defensive because months ago I was agreeing with him that his sister might still be with her kids father and now I simply say her and her new bf might have broken up because of a change in status and he is calling me out about making assumptions. Now mind you this man has been arguing with me all morning just because I said he should pick the beam out of his own eye first. He said that him believing that his sister and her kids father were still together even though she said they aren’t is validated and not an assumption just because she brought him to a family outing. So me believing that there might also be a chance there could be chance that her and her new bf broke up because they both removed their Rp status on Facebook is completely different and I should not make assumptions and I should mind my own business. Someone please tell me if I am losing it.
