My husband works. I stay home with the kids (3 + 6mo) he’s usually pretty helpful but there are these moments where I’ll try to unload or he’ll call it “complain” about being with the kids all day and needing a break. Every. Single. Time. His response is “do you not enjoy being home with the kids?” Like all I’m saying is a need a break??? This happened when he said he needed to mow (after a particularly rough day ) so I said “I’ll mow!” And his response was “do you not enjoy time with the kids?” Then walks away. I’m not sitting here trying to be a bum!! I am asking for a mental break while I mow the lawn for 20 friggin minutes and he makes it into this “you should be grateful” thing. Am I overreacting?! Just doesn’t feel like he thinks that what I do is work. (I’ve told him this numerous times)
