So a while back my adult neice (22f) and I (36f) made plans to get tickets to see my favorite team play (they were the away team so this was the only weekend we can see them) So I bought us pretty good tickets and we were both excited. Fast forward to 4 days before the game my neice backed out. Stating her mom (my sister) made her nervous by telling her all these things about the trains and where we would be in the city we'd be going to. Of course im not mad at my neice. She can't help being nervous especially when shes having her head filled with things that aren't true. So my question is. Since my sister is the reason she backed out would I be the asshole to ask her to pay me back for both tickets since neither one of us went?
