Am I the asshole for going off on my boyfriend over something he said? I am a 20 year old female and my boyfriend is a 23 year old male. Today when on my way to work I mentioned going to see my friend since high school and my boyfriend started to get really quiet because he seems to always have a problem when I hangout with other people. When I got to work he sent me several messages telling me to leave him alone and that he was upset because I wanted to see my friend over him. For context I spend almost the whole week with my boyfriend after I get off work and after he gets off work. After he said this I started to get pissed off and told him it seems like he only wants me to hangout with him and not see any of my friends. He responded that is what he wants and there will be a point where I need to prioritize our relationship over seeing my friends. After he said this I told him to fuck off and leave me alone because he is being unreasonable.
