Little backstory, my brother I share a room. My brother is the type of person for which never wakes up to an alarm, heāll schedule 20 alarms and only wake up for one. Iām typically the one that has to turn off his alarms for him since my bed is right next to his and typically Iām a very light sleeper.
Iām typically the first one to wake up since I have to be out by 6:30am, and heāll typically wake up around 7. My alarm is typically set at 6:10. On a sudden day, I wake up at 6:00am to āme gusta tu- manuā. Instantly I wake up upset and borderline about to cry since already Iām only getting about 6 hours of sleep. I later throughout the day ask him if he can change his alarm since itās starting to affect the little time of sleep I already get. He wanted me to specify that I texted him āPls donāt have any dumb ass alarms before 6:10ā.
As the next day comes around, I wake up to my alarm and his alarm ringing exactly at the same timeā¦. This time I yell at him because again, heās not waking up until 7. His alarms are constantly giving me headaches because instead of just a sound or something calming, itās music, on full blast, so early in the morning.
Now here is where he says Iām in the wrong. He said that bc I told him before 6:10 that I shouldāve been more specific and shouldāve told him a specific time for him to set an alarm. But I personally see it as human nature that heād be considerate of others that share the space with him. But I guess common sense isnāt very common. Idk I personally feel like yes I might be taking it too far, but at the same time I feel like my feelings are pretty valid, I shouldnāt have to constantly remind someone that their alarms donāt just affect them but the person theyāre sharing the space with. This also happens on his days off where he just likes to have his alarms on, just for the fun of it. And guess who that affects⦠definitely not him, because his ass is snoring, meanwhile thereās me trying to go back to sleep š.
