I (F 26), have been pretty open with how I find Luigi Mangione attractive. My boyfriend (M 26) has also admitted how he gets insecure and upset over this, to the point where has a huge argument over it since the first photos of him were released in December. I’ve tried to keep it as lowkey as possible since, until today when he confronted me over me commenting Luigi’s name on a reel that said “when the celebrity crush is so bad you can’t like anyone else”, from a few weeks ago. I can understand why he feels insecure, but he has a history of petty/weird behavior like this, where he got jealous over me going to this look alike contest and accused me of using it as an excuse to “check out other guys”, and while he was upset because he recently lost a close friend, he got unnecessarily angry over me hanging out with a male friend a few months ago. He still won’t budge and is very upset, and just wants to “drop it”, despite how I’m trying to find some sort of middle ground and convince him to consider some sort of therapy to better help him work around his insecurities.
