Okay so, my best friend is scared of driving. They almost panic when they drive, the fear of death. That someone will hit them and that’s it. It’s understandable honestly. Driving is scary and it can be a lot. I tired to help and let them drive my mom’s car cuz it easier to drive. When I had my car, I didn’t let them cuz it was big. I had jeep. Anyways, I went I want to hang out with them their siblings would also want to come along which is fine. I let them come sometimes. We could go to dunkin or get some bubble tea and drive around. They don’t always come cuz why would they?
They have 3 siblings and they’re the oldest (my best friend) and we had a conversation about this and for some reason, I felt like I had to take them out. They said “ik when you come, you want to hang out with me, but I also want to take my siblings out too but I can’t drive”. Yk I thought about it and it’s not really my responsibility to take them out. They’re not my siblings and I am friendly to them and joke around with them.
I am always the one who’s driving and everytime I want to hang out or they want to hang out I have to ask my for moms car and everytime I ask it leds to an argument with my mom.
Also they are autistic and have ADHD. so I get why is driving is hard for them but god I wish they would just drive and actually take their siblings out. I know they want to but scared of driving. What should I do? How do I go about it? They said I could come off as rude. I think I’m straightforward and honest and they’re also that. I’m not going to sugarcoat it.
