This was 2 or 3 years ago I (f) am practically 30 now I was 27 when this happen. I don't go to church anymore because of my last story about the church I went to. I was still going to church back then but I'm not anymore and I fell off the Christian religion.

I decided to help the church with their venture into turning the church into a Christian school. I wanted to help because I knew they would need help on their first year but I couldn't last past January.

The Pastor (M) was the principal and the Pastor's wife (F) was the head teacher because she had a teaching degree. I respected that and I didn't have a teaching degree and I was just a volunteer so I let her be the head teacher. Most of the time it was me, her, and the pastor because the pastor's wife was hard to work with and no one wanted to work with her.

I tried to work with her because I have a good heart and I liked kids. I know I had my mistakes from being a teacher but that was because I didn't have any kind of training to be a teacher.

The Pastor's wife kept yelling at me for my mistakes and making me feel bad and making me cry at least 3 times a weak. Because of her yelling at me be I couldn't last past January.

I finally left when there was an actual teacher to take my place.

Am I the asshole for quitting and leaving the Pastor's wife with the other grades? (I was working with kindergarten ans first grade until a real teacher took my place)

Edit: At some point the guy that made me uncomfortable showed up there while I was getting ready for the next day and I put up a wall between us. The pastor's wife noticed that ans tried to get me to no put up a wall between me and the guy. Edit 2: I'm not just posting this for reddit points. I'm posting this to make sure if I was or wasn't the asshole. And this was all true.
