I'm 22yrs old and I still live with my mother because of financial problem's... I broke up with my ex in December and I've been talking to someone and my mother just scolded me because I didn't tell her that I went on a date– she told me that she expects me to tell her if I go out on a date and with who I talk to which makes me uncomfortable and I've told her that but she just responds with 'my house, my rules' and also gets absolutely furious whenever I do tell her I'm going out... Is it that wrong to want a tiny bit of privacy in my love life?

P.S: The person who I'm talking to is someone I knew beforehands but lost communication and recently reconnected.
