my friends 18th is coming up in July and she’s doing a debut so she asked all our friends to do a cotillion dance . Originally it was me and my bf as partners but he can’t do it bc of exams and he doesn’t want to fail so he said he can’t make it. I however can make it and want to do it but I would need another partner , my friends cousin who is a guy said is willing to be my dance partner for the dance but my bf is strongly against it as he says the dance is too romantic and Would not want me to. I tried finding a female partner but no one wanted to and my only option is my friends cousin. Everyone else has found a partner and it’s all boy girl and everyone is js friends . I don’t think the dance is that romanic js a few moves are a bit close . I really want to do the dance for my friends bc she means a lot to me but my bf gave me an ultimatum that if I do the dance then he’s going to break up w me. I don’t know what to do now bc I want to dance for my friend but I also don’t want my rs to fall apart Edit: the title is meant to say bf not gf

Update: ok so he has agreed to let me dance but now he’s accusing me a cheating on him w this guy , I haven’t even gone to any of the practices yet, he says it’s like I’m choosing another guy over him which I think isn’t fair since it’s literally a group dance.
