Girlfriend went to the ER with abdominal pain. Scan of her abdomen showed she had fluid around her heart doctor wanted to keep her for observation. They didn’t find the cause of her pain in her abdomen. She didn’t want to stay for observation or get any further scans on her heart she knows how triggering this is for me because my mom recently died from a misdiagnosis of colon cancer. She said she understands that I’m traumatized by that but my mom isn’t the only one that I’ve lost because of a misdiagnosis she fought me against this says that she’s made a decision that she’s going to wait weeks to see a cardiologist and I said it’s unacceptable to me. I won’t move forward with her in a relationship if she doesn’t give me the peace of mind I believe that if you love someone you give them peace you don’t fight them about a medical condition that could be potentially fatal or serious in nature I shouldn’t have to argue with someone over their well-being. I told her we’re supposed to work as a team and give each other peace out of this world of chaos And she decided she was going to not do that so I told her that I couldn’t be with her I went through this with her one time before she promised she wasn’t gonna do things like this anymore, and I just can’t go through this type of emotional roller coaster againbesides that we have nothing written in regards to me being there if something serious with her health was to go wrong. I feel that it’s not fair to me to put me through that. Am I the asshole?
