13 years ago when my daughter was 6 months old I had her in a bikini at our house. Grandpa was holding and he said “you’re so sexy in your bathing suit.” In my head I was like wtf that’s really weird to say but also thought maybe it was a slip. But he said it a second time. I brought it up to my therapist and she agrees that it was inappropriate. As someone who was abused as a child my creep radar is always on high alert. So after talking to my therapist I told my partner that I wasn’t comfortable with what his father said and it was odd. He flipped out telling me I was a piece of shit for calling his dad a pedophile. We made up and he let it go but often when we fight he brings it up. Tonight we were arguing over Easter baskets and him not reading my instructions on where the baskets and candy was. (Him acting brand new and not helping is pretty on point).

I brought up how he never pays attention or listens and really never puts effort into holidays and just waits for me to dictate everything like he’s a helper and not a partner. He got enraged and went downstairs. He texted me saying I called his dad a pedophile and I responded that calling a baby sexy twice was not normal. I went down to get the rest of the Easter stuff and he told me to go to bed thinking I was my daughter. I told him to go to bed and then he repeatedly kept saying “shut the fuck up.” And then said I was a piece of shit for talking about his dad.

He literally brought up his dad out of nowhere. We haven’t talked about that situation in years. His dad never said it again and everything is fine between everyone.

Last night we had another fight. We had gone furniture shopping. He was going to buy us a new couch, but was expecting me to have sex with him in exchange. We got home, it was late, I had to put my youngest to bed and she takes forever. I told him I didn’t want to hang out and he texted me saying I was a c**t. He was mad because we went shopping and then he got us takeout and was getting nothing in return. There’s obviously more but those are from the last two days.
