Idk if this classified as AITAH, but here’s the story. So I (18M) had very normal haircut (what my parents like) until the age of 18, and now recently after getting more into hairstyle and self care vids, I got to know about recent trendy hairstyles like, undercut, mullets, wolf cut, buzz cut, etc, so I thought about trying them out, first I got an undercut with bangs, approx 5 months back, but it didn’t quite fit because I’ve kept another hairstyle all my life, but during that time my parents were like, “hairs should be short, your forehead should be visible, hair should not get in your eyes etc etc” I didn’t really say much because I’m not the type to argue or retaliate unless someone really gets on my nerves, and tbh it wasn’t that aggressive too, pretty neat and decent, so as I said the texture of undercut wasn’t up to my taste, so after a month or so, I got a buzz cut instead, and then they were like “why did you get bald, don’t so this again, who told you to get hairstyle like that, keep them hairs long etc etc” typical nagging, so I let my hairs grow for 2-3 months, and today on like 1.5 inch hair length I got a mullet done and it looks very good I liked it very much, but my parents, they were very angry, my dad said “where did you learn to get this haircut from, you don’t have good friends, you’re into bad friends circle, you won’t see a person from a decent house keeping this haircut, don’t ever get this done again or else I’ll make you bald” I really wanna try mullet for like 1 year or so but I’m fed up with this nagging, how do I make them realise it’s not that bad and it’s a trendy haircut, but it’s not very common in here to have these.
