📝 Have I ruined the landscaping project?

Husband (38) and I (35) recently bought a house and started working on the landscaping. The property was pretty rundown so we felled some of the old trees and asked our neighbours for help with landscaping as they are horticulturalist and they run a nursery around the corner from our house. They were kind enough to come by and help us design a new garden and decide what to plant and where. We did up a plan together (husband, and the horticulturalists) and decided th pay the $100 a week as we'd come by and pick up new plants each week. We knew we wanted a veggie patch well, five to be exact in the back yard but we were up in the air about material and timing so we just worked on what beds already existed. The horticulturalist did not include the veggie patch in the plan they made for us as we're we're still deciding. Each week I go over and buy our $100 worth of plants, as per the plan, that they have sourced or propagated for us. We're at about halfway and my husband gets mad one weekend. Claiming that I have wasted all our money and time on this plan with the horticulturalists. He said he could have had his veggie patch by now and wants it build by the end of the month. I asked his where the money for it will come from and he snapped saying that I'd spent it all on the rest of the garden.

The rest of the garden and the plans we made with the horticulturalists is now my project and it's his project vs mine. His being the veggie patch. I'm confused as I thought we were working together on everything.

He wants me to stop our plan with the horticulturalists and ditch the plants they've ordered in and focus on the veggie patch that he doesn't have the money to build atm. I thought we'd do the veggie patch in July after the plan with our horticulturalist team was complete.

I've asked my parents about it and apparently I'm just being a bitch and I should ditch the plan the horticulturalists/ neighbours did up for us and focus on the veggie patch. I'm just worried about upsetting the horticulturalists as they did the plan for free and have gone to great effort to source and propagate plants for us. Now I'm to tell them to wait indefinitely.

How do I explain this to them and return some of the plants they order in for us without upsetting them? Did I ruin the landscaping plan?
