I got married to my ex-husband in 2003 (we met in 2002.) We separated in late 2023 & our divorce was official late 2024. Tonight I went to one of my brother's son's wedding. I was sitting next to one of my other brothers who I have never been close to. In fact he has never said anything to me in sorrow or asking anything regarding my separation or divorce. I asked him where his wife was while we were waiting for the 1st course & he said: "We got divorced -- JK JK" TF!!!! How incredibly rude! You have never said anything to me regarding my divorce but here you are wanting to make jokes now. It hurt! (I have 7 brothers and sisters. They all are married. I am the only one to have gotten divorced) I can be extra sensitive, I know that about myself and maybe I was? Knowing him he probably thought he was being funny but in my eyes he was being an ass. I should have said something but in my opinion it wasn't worth it. Let me know though, if I am being too sensitive.
