📝 I want to bring in a stray but my roommate doesn’t.

My husband and I live with two roommates in a 3 bed 3 bath house. Husband and I currently have 3 cats, which is no problem with our other roommates. The cats are completely ours, they sleep with us at night, litter boxes are all in our room not in any shared spaces. We take complete care of them, basically our roommates don’t have any responsibilities for them because they are ours. We also are very responsible when it comes to chores, in fact probably more so than the other two, and do more to take care of and clean common areas than they do. We also pay for and change all the air filters since our cats are the reason they need to be changed so frequently. Also all of the furniture (couches and chairs) in the common areas is mine, so there are no worries about the new cat destroying their furniture.

Recently this very sweet stray has been coming by and we’ve been feeding it, and hubby and I really want to bring him inside and make him a member of the family. The biggest inconvenience this would cause for the other roommates is that for the first month the new cat would have to be separate from the others, meaning he would have to spend the first month in the living room and we would have to keep a litter box out there. But once the cats have been properly introduced he would be in our room every night and the litter box would be back in our room.

Neither roommate really wants this other cat inside, but the one is mostly okay with it because he knows it would only be the first month they would have to even deal with the other cat, and he’s moving out shortly (within six months). The other roommate is very against it (she’s also probably moving out soon, just not 100% confirmed) and doesn’t want it at all, only because they think it’s too much to have four cats in the house, despite them never having to do anything to take care of any of the cats and it not really affecting them at all. I’m really upset because I feel she’s just being an AH for no reason, and I’ve told them we would wait til they’re moved out but I’m worried the cat will get hurt being outside by stray dogs or other cats if we wait that long. WIBTAH if I bring this cat inside anyway against her wishes? Or is she the AH for saying no for seemingly no reason.
