📝 Is it fair that my friend won’t refund a concert ticket she still owns, even though I can’t use it?

I bought tickets with a friend for a concert a few months back, she texted me this week (week of concert) saying she could no longer go but that we can try to find someone else to go with me. My SO said they could go and the very next day, I told them to Venmo her. Moments later I realized that the concert overlaps with something important and we can’t go after all. I asked her if she could Venmo the money back since the ticket is still on her account (and it was literally a minute later, the money hasn’t been transferred out). She kind of seem offended by this and told me to just sell the tickets. The tickets are not sellable and I haven’t been able to find anyone in my personal life to get them.

If I had told her that morning that we couldn’t have gone, I doubt she would have demanded the money, so how is this different? I understand if I told her a week or more before that I found somebody but it was less than 24 hours later. It’s not THAT much money but the principle of it frustrates me. She agreed to send me at least half if I couldn’t sell it, but when i told her they couldn’t be sold she stopped responding to me. I gave the money back to my boyfriend since I find that unfair, and now I’ve lost money I could have used for groceries this month. Am I the asshole for feeling frustrated?
