Hello guys this question is for my argumentative essay about the caste system in the United States of American by Isabel Wilkerson.

Do you think race should be a criterion in the caste system?

According to Isabel Wilkerson, her beliefs are the caste system in The United States is a hierarchy of race. It is a pyramid of racial ranking and race is the main topic of the caste system in the United States. All white Americans belong in the dominant caste because they have inherited wealth, influence and power throughout generations. Latinos, Asians, and Brown people belong in between dominant caste and subordinate caste. African Americans belong in the subordinate caste and only black Americans belong in that caste of subordinate Isabel Wilkerson states. That is her beliefs that that is the way the United States caste system is. The pyramid illustrates dominant caste (The top) which is where all white Americans belong and subordinate caste (The bottom) is where all black African Americans belong. In between are Latinos, Asians, and brown people are between dominant and subordinate as depicted in the pyramid. But I’m saying she is false. I say that because my argument is race is an obsolete criterion in the caste system because African Americans can have power, influence and wealth. I’m trying to argue America does live in a caste system but it is a caste system of power, influence and wealth and who can use those three traits of dominant caste for malicious intent instead of white people only being dominant caste because of they’ve inherited.
