To start my brother and I are going through a very hard time. Our mom just passed away one month exactly. My brother hasn't been around in a long time due to constantly being in and out of jail. I made sure to help get him to the same so he was able to spend some time with our mom. My husband and I have 3 kids and we have been living at my mom's house since she's been on hospice. I let my brother live with us which was definitely a regretful mistake. My brother has the mental capacity of a 15 year old child. He's 30 years old. He has a pretty lengthy record and he is practically living off of government assistance and not looking for a job and just smoking weed and doing absolutely nothing. He doesn't take a shower or clean his room. He is embarrassing to take anywhere. He doesn't understand why I don't bring him to any of my family outings. He doesn't smoke weed around us but I'm sick of smelling it on him. Weed and BO is absolutely sickening. I need him out. It's ruining our relationship (not in his eyes). My husband and I want to sit and talk with him about it because I'm really done. He doesn't help with the mortgage or utilities either so he thinks he's got it good. AITAH for kicking him out? I want to give him at least 30 days to figure it out because he's been with us since November and has accomplished nothing when we wanted to help him get a second chance at life.
