My ex, who is now married and possibly has a child with his wife, broke up with me almost three years ago. At the time, I was still on his phone plan because we had been planning to move in together before the breakup. During the first year after we split, we discussed removing me from the plan, but years later, it still hasn't happened. After maintaining no contact for almost a year, I finally reached out to follow up, and he assured me he would call the carrier to take care of it. A month has passed, and still—nothing. It doesn’t sit right with me that I’m still tied to his phone plan. I know I could simply get a new number, but I’ve had mine since I was young, and changing it would be a major hassle—updating friends, family, work, and everything else. It would be so much easier if he would just make the call. It takes minutes. I’m beyond frustrated and annoyed. They say you catch more flies with honey, but I’m tired of playing nice. I don’t understand why he won’t just do it—he’s married! Would I be the ah if I send him a no nonsense, direct and firm email? I really can’t easily change my number due to work reason. So him calling the carrier would make it so much easier.
