Ok so my friend sold me a car for 500 bucks. She tried to just give it to me, but I insisted on paying her for it, so 500 bucks was agreed upon and (officially) I paid her 400 for it. On January 16th I was involved in an accident in which it was the other drivers fault and since my car was totalled, her insurance was to pay out. Only problem was that it wasn't in my name yet, which shouldn't be a problem as the insurance company says all I need to do is show a bill of sale or the car registered in my name. BUT she won't sign it over to me now, and thinks I should let her claim the insurance in her name and insists she's entitled to money. I have done this chick so many favors , from reroofing part of her house to fixing multiple cars that were broken down on her, and she's saying I'm an asshole because I'm not being a team player by letting her get the insurance check. We're not boyfriend or girlfriend,never have been, and I have also gave her 400 more dollars another time when I let her spin a few times on my online casino game and when she got up 400 bucks I let her have it. Am I the asshole for not thinking she's entitled to money from the insurance payout?
