I was at a friend's son's coach-pitch baseball game (after tball), and because we were a little late, I asked the woman sitting next to me what the score was. She looked at me with disdain and said, " We don't keep score." Oh, why not? " We do not want anyone to feel like they are losers." I just said raising my eyebrows, oh. I HAD to comment back and say, "Keeping score is a way to encourage children to do their best. They are also taught the lesson about how to be gracious winners and how not to be sore losers." I wanted to tell her that's why the newer generations are self-entitled brats, but I held my tongue. I did keep score on a piece of paper. She kelp glaring at me throughout the game. Did my comment to her make me TA?
