I'm in a friend group with about ten people. Things have been great for years except recently. A friend I've known for maybe two years (Jonathan) started seeing a girl in the group (Brooke). They broke up recently and it was quite messy. I don't know all the specifics but I know he attempted to sleep with her without consent and maybe other stuff.

Brooke's sister and her husband have cut off contact with him along with a few other friends and have removed him from the group chat. My problem is that he wasn't truthful with me when he told me about the situation. He made himself seem like the victim and didn't tell me the full truth.

To be clear no one is pressuring me either way; I just want to do what is right.

So WIBTA for cutting off contact with Jonathan out of respect for Brooke and the others?
