I am a 40F for the last ten years I’ve not taken a vacation due to finances, a very anxious rescue dog, and a terminally ill mother. Recently both my mother and dog have passed on. I am getting a new puppy in a couple months which I am looking forward to. A friend of mine who is generally very pushy and domineering- never lets you pay for anything in her presence even when it becomes awkward- had mentioned taking a week long vacation on the other side of the country. I said I obviously had things to settle with a new puppy and then I would need to check finances. She proceeded to check my vacation requests- we work together- and then buy an airline ticket in my name for days we don’t agree to or talk about without asking me. In fact she alluded to it and I said no and she did it anyway.

She used airline pts for the tickets and the location is owned by a family member. So financially she figures it’s all covered

Obviously I’m upset about the lack of my own input, and I also feel awkward as I didn’t contribute to this when I can and certainly would. Not to mention I was never asked if it was what I wanted to do. I told her she shouldn’t have done it and I’m not going but she laughed it off like I’m crazy.
