📝 r/AITA for going to a memorial service for my Uncle after his wife and other family members warned me not to show up since they don't want me there?

Over ten years ago, I found out some really bad stuff about my Uncle. He was an executor of my beloved Grandma's estate and he and his wife were stealing money from her after she got sick and lost her memory. They kept it secret from other family, but I knew the truth and they were afraid of being exposed. The last thing my Uncle said to me was, "You're dead to me. You'll never step foot inside this house again." I grew up at my Grandma's and I was devastated.

Now that he's gone and my Aunt is in serious financial trouble - she has to answer for everything and is trying to shut me out and keep me quiet. I loved my Uncle and want to pay my final respects. He showed up to my Mom's funeral a few years back. Never acknowledged or consoled me, but he was there nonetheless. Should I stay away to keep the peace or should I show up and let chaos ensue?
