My friend and I were talking about what games we both play, and i brought up that i recently started getting back into Marvel Rivals. My friend says that she thinks that all the men that play the game are just straight nasty gooners, to which i said “You can’t blame them, the new character literally has jiggle physics in her trailer”. I also went on to say “The ladies are hot but thats just a plus imo”. Could I have worded this better? Absolutely. And Yes, I will say that on the surface those words make it seem like im justifying the weird behaviors of some of the people online, but i was just trying to agree with her point. The point I was trying to make was “Of course gooners play this game, they literally added unnecessary jiggle physics to a character to gain more traction”, and my comment about the “hot ladies” was more of like a “i play the game for fun, its nice that the women look pretty, too”. I wasn’t trying to be disrespectful or gross in any way, i had explained this a whole bunch but she wouldn’t change her opinion of me and thought i was just making excuses. I was just simply explaining what i had actually meant by my words. I grew up in/live in a house full of women and so i try to be as respectful as possible when it comes to women. I don’t like offending people and when i do, i attempt to make it right as much as possible. I just feel like shit even after explaining myself and my intentions and wanted to make things right. Thoughts?
