I (14f) am a child of divorced parents. My mom (39f) got remarried to my step dad (51m). We will call him “Luke”. I love Luke he is the best step dad you could have and has always been there for me. My mom and Luke have been married for 8 years and have decided to get a divorce. My mom told me it was because she wasn’t happy, but now I’m thinking it’s because of her affair. Backtracking a little my mom and dad got a divorce because my dad cheated on my mom multiple times. My mom has always made me feel like I should never take his side for what he did. Ok now we get to present time.

One day my mom and I were at a gas station and she’s filling up and her phone gets a text message. Me being a nosy bitch, looked at her phone. It was from my step dad just saying something random. I look a the messages before and if says,

“You gave up when you had an affair. I can never see you two having sex.”

she had an affair with a guide at the hunting lodge where she works. We will call his “Simon”. Our family has always loved Simon but I guess my mom did a little more. From my understanding she only had an affair once. But she has always put shame on my dad for cheating. When I read the message I couldn’t believe it I felt like I was going to through up. What should I do?
