TLDR: My partner keeps saying they’ll get their life together but doesn’t do anything about it. I feel bad considering breaking up with them because I don’t have my life together either. I have my BA and am trying to put my career together still. Though they only have their AA and is fine working a low paying job. In this economy it’s unrealistic to start a family and a life with combined minimum wages.

They talk about career goals or their ambitions but don’t do anything to start. They hyper-focus on “getting better” but don’t actually do anything about it. Sort of like watching a bunch of self help vids and expecting their life to change lol. They only do stuff if I tell them to and I’m starting to feel like a dad and controlling partner.

Idk what to do. Help.
