A friend/coworker (53M) hadn’t messaged our group in a few days and I ended up reaching out. I (23F) asked:

Me: Hey are you okay?

Him: Nope

Me: Let me know if you need anything or want to talk about it

Him: Okay?

How could I have approached this differently? Aitah for asking? Should I have just ignored it?
