So im 17f and i worked a 8hr shift today 4 of those hours i worked with one other person who doesn't speak english and cant take orders or do headset, i work fast food. We ended up getting busy this dude pulls up in drive thru asks if he can make 2 separate orders, no problem right? wrong. he pays fo the first order i hand his card back and hes furious theres no receipt,i apologize and tell him the printer is out of paper and he says angrily "well i can wait i need my receipt" i toy with the machine for about 7 mins because i wasnt shown how to put printing paper in it , i think i got it and then its not even printing anything onto the paper , i inform him i tried replacing the paper and nothing ive tried has worked , he then gets angrier, keep in mind i cant communicate any of this with my coworker and i have over 3 people in drive thru behind him and people coming into the lobby. He then angrily tells me to just csncek the order when he already psid and then it gets worse as he tells me his son has a trust fund (hes disabled) and he needs to keep track of every penny spent, i profusely apologize and try getting his name so i can have the assistant manager refund him the next day because I WASNT TAUGHT HOW TO DO ANY OF THAT. he then gets louder with me more agitated and by then im having a anxiety attack because im overwhelmed with how many people want food , not having anyone to help me help him and on top of that dealing with him being angry with me for something out of my control. He then just says IM COMING IN and then pulls off, next customer pulls up i just hand him his food and tell him im dealing with another customer and apologize for he wait , by this point im crying and cannot compose myself anymore ive spent over 15 mins dealing with this customer and finally he writes his fucking name down after berating me some more. so that leads to my question AITAH for crying infront of an angry customer because of an anxiety attack from being bombarded with orders , having one other person that can only cook, no management , and dealing with his bs?
