📝 Sidelined a soccer tot

So, here's the situation. I was coaching a kids' soccer practice, and one of the players (7 years old) was repeatedly picking on their teammates—name-calling, kicking away younger kids balls and just generally being disruptive. I tried talking to him, gave warnings, even had him run laps, but the behavior continued. Eventually, I asked his mom to grab him and leave the field for the rest of the practice

Now I'm wondering if I overreacted. I wanted to lookout for the other kids and maintain and keep a productive environment, but I also feel bad because he is just a kid. Was I too harsh, or was it the right call to make?
