How do you deal with toxic family. Like we keep our distance as much as possible. My husband and I were asked my father in law to move into his grandparents house as it still had a mortgage. We have a great relationship with him. The issue is my husband sister. She has become extremely toxic ever since her now boyfriend and father to her daughter came back around. So we are planning on a family trip to Vegas so I can see my brother for Easter. Plus my kids are getting older and don't want to decorate eggs, Easter egg hunt, or have baskets. So we're gonna have fun in Vegas. My father in law is very supportive of the trip. I was informed by my son who is 11 that his aunt was trying to talk him out of wanting to go to Vegas and that he wouldn't have a good time and should stay here instead. I'm upset because during Christmas while my husband and I ran to the store she had both my kids come over and spent hours with them. Us not knowing what the plan was and we later found out that we were never invited. They live next door so I get how quickly this can happen. I've had boundaries multiple times and I just get excuse of being the problem and I'm being selfish. Anyone know how to approach this??
