Some of you wanted some updates on my post here

The good news is that I finally found my dream wedding dress—the one that had been discontinued in another country. I’m going there next week to pick it up!

Now for the messy part. My mom decided she didn’t want to "ruin the good relationships" between the families… which is funny considering those relationships barely exist. My in-laws never call or invite my parents to anything. Still, my mom took it upon herself to invite my mother-in-law to the dress shopping trip—despite me explicitly saying I didn’t want her there. It’s my dream dress. I don’t want her seeing it, taking photos, and sharing it with all of my fiancé’s grannnies, aunties and cousins. She did the exact same thing when fiance's girl best friend got married—shared the dress with everyone.

Thankfully, my MIL declined the invite, but not without taking the opportunity to call me a liar. She told my mom I had "lied to her face" the morning I left for the dress fitting—saying I was just running errands with my mom when I’d already made it clear I didn’t want her involved.

Im also kinda mad she said to my mom that "she decided to sew some wrist straps to my wedding dress" so i dont have to hold it but its a PRINCESS wedding dress, thats stiff and its also MilaNova, i dont want it ruined by her stichting lol. And also played the victim telling mom shes only telling me stuff out of love and that because she wants me to be the most beautiful bride ever and is giving me heart-to-heart "Advice"

Unfortunately, my parents don’t really understand what boundaries are—and I don’t want to cut them off just because of her. Still, my mom went as far as threatening not to come to the wedding if I didn’t include MIL in this trip. After a lot of back and forth, she somehow offered her another appointment in a city closer to us... and now MIL agreed to come. They also invited my godmother, so it looks like we’ll be playing Barbie dress-up this summer whether I like it or not.

Not exactly the update I was hoping to give, but… here we are.
