Good day everyone I need to know if I was an ass for this because it's literally eating me up.

I'm 33 and my husband is 33, I was at work with a client when my husband and a friend showed up to my work to look at their bikes. They came to wait until I was finished so we could go home. When I was done with the client, the client left and sat down at another business's stairs to wait for a lift while I was talking with my husband.

A minute or so later an older gent walking up the road stopped to have a chat with my client and he was just talking. So I said should I just go stand with her just incase but my husband said wait, then the older gentleman came closer to her, so I got up to check what he was saying and stand with her. The gentleman I think got the vibe from me and left. I said to the girl i wanted to see what he was saying and she said all good.

When I got back to my husband, he and his friend was like "wow we feel so safe, the bodyguard" in a sarcastic tone. They said he just wanted to talk with the girl and I misread the situation.

Did I? am I stupid?
