So I work at a northern grocery chain. Let me paint the picture, there’s favoritism with some cashiers with the managers and owners. It’s obvious, and a little ridiculous. Couple months ago one of the favorites told one of the non favorites to go off herself. Customer heard it but didn’t tell me till a few weeks later. I already knew I couldn’t go to any of the managers cuz it would’ve been swept under the rug and I might be reprimanded. (eye roll) The coworker he said this too said it’s fine he was joking… not at work it’s not appropriate and to say she doesn’t understand jokes is an understatement. This favorite also brags that he’s safe because who he knows.

I called hr said I wanted to be anonymous and I’m pretty sure he got spoken to. But he has family who work here and now they’re blantanly ignoring me because I’m pretty sure they now know they can’t save him.

But the blatantly ignoring is petty
