I ((23M)) just had a two-hour argument with my mum because I told her I’m thinking about going back to Madrid at the end of the month. This would be my third time there since January. She said I’m being stupid, irresponsible, and “not thinking with my head.”

For context: I just got back from Madrid a few days ago. Halfway through the trip, I ended things with a toxic situationship. But soon after that, I met someone new. She’s sweet, and we really hit it off. We went on two dates, and we’ve been texting ever since. It feels like there’s something real there.

I’ve been thinking of going back and to stay out there for a while. I know the city well as i once lived there. Flights are cheap, I have an online exam in June (open-book, and I’m mostly prepared), and I’d be staying with a close friend again—who’s said I’m always welcome. But my mum’s going off at me like I’m ruining my life.

So… AITA for wanting to go? Or is it fair that she’s this upset?
