So my friend contacted me to Introduce her new boyfriend from few weeks ago a men that clearly is there only for paper (not in USA) I tell her that I happy and hope for the best and after ward tell her that I’m selling my private island because of financial issue

On the spot she tells me that she wants it since she came to visit me multiple times and it’s quite a little paradise I tell her that I would be happy that the propriety stay in my proximity since I invested a lot in it and would love to visite it back in the future I ask her if she’s serious and she tell me Yes she’s 100% sure Day after she calls the bank and follow up with me that she started the paper work and I would have to wait few days max 2 Weeks and I specified that I already have people interested and that I don’t want to end up with nothing so if she change her mind or don’t follow trough I would be in trouble Few days pass and she called me saying she would love to go to show the island to her boyfriend and son (7ym) I’m not sure at first since I would be on an island far from my place with her driving so no way out with a guy I don’t know much and her son that I like but as a gay 33m I’m not found of child

I finally accept because it normal to visite but also tell her that it’s the worst time to visite since the season

I finally accept and since the two weeks is almost done I expect her to have the paper work to start the buying process she show up with that dude and her son and we go on the road after few minutes she starts explaining rules that I will have to follow because her boyfriend is from an other culture No loud fart No smoking weed No swear word … and many more I was like girl you never mentioned that before wtf you clearly avoid it to make sure I say yes because I would normally never accept to be deprived of some liberty especially on my own property and finally discover that this was to announce me that they would get married and since nobody of her friend or family want to sign as witness she expects me to do it which I am not comfortable to do since I know her family maybe even better than I know her but I don’t want to be rude or disrespectful and since the dude is fresh of the boat I don’t want to be insensible to the cultural differences So I agree to the rule but I tell them that I will need to stop to smoke on the way and will make an effort to respect all the rules they pushed on me even tho we are going to be in my place 4h drive After 1 hours I request that we stop for smoking Before I finish he’s in the car honking We go back and he start saying that we do it on purpose get verbally agressive with my friend and they stop the car on the highway to fight outside viciously for 3 time the time I spend smoking I tell them that I uncomfortable and want to go back home and they find all the excuse in the world to keep going and say we just have to establish a pre approve time schedule for smoke something I would never do normally But I bend because I love my friend and the situation on the way I’m trying to make small talk with the dude that shut me down every time

I brush it off I demande why the weird rules about farts and he say that in us culture it’s highly disrespectful My friend right away ask what would happen if she farts in front of he’s family and I kinda say that she would be punished (beat up) something that trouble me

We get to the cottage the kid start crying because he want to show a game and put on a tantrum that make me thank god that I am gay

She take out some paper witch I assume are for the cottage and they are actually for the wedding paper I have to sign so she can get married she put me on the spot and kinda force me to fill it up something I do not saying I’m tired and I would do it later Maybe other fight between them And 2 Or 3 tantrum later we finally leave the cottage I ask her if she have the paper for the process to buy the cottage and she said that I would have to wait 3 more days but that she have the paper for the wedding instead and force me To sign 3 days later I call her her for thé follow up and she tell me she backing up from buying the cottage because her boyfriend don’t like the water … something ridiculous but I brush it off gain saying I understand I would have love to know before because I push of multiple buyers that would probably not be interested a month later and also that it put me in financial trouble She’s sorry bla bla She call me yesterday saying that her wedding (only court process since no one want to attend) will be directly on the highest day of my week basically the day I make all My tips income I asked her is she can move the date since it’s only going to the court to process it and tell Me that no she want to do it on Friday so I told her that since my financial situation is dire I can afford it and she go furious saying that I was mean and should have accept it if I cannot commit

Ridiculous since she did worst to me literally few days prior and when I mentioned that she did the same she accuse me of weaponizing the cottage against her and that I was selfish and rude for destroying her project and the chance Of her boyfriend to get paper since he can’t work

Aitah for not wanting to loose a week of salary for something I was not comfortable with to start after being tricked in offering a weekend all included to her her bf and son on my island I also add to pay for most of the food
