Would I be an asshole if I went to a wedding stayed for the ceremony and the dinner because they ordered me a meal, and ducked out to go hang out with my friends. I don’t live in that area anymore but I still have friends there. They have a meetup every second Saturday. My dad wants me to ride with him because I live with him. If I do that I’d have to get an uber to get to my friends hang out. Or I can drive separately but Dad doesn’t want me leaving the wedding at all. I don’t really like parties. I get overstimulated. I have diagnosed autism. So social anxiety and overstimulation makes loud parties no fun for me. Especially when I’d rather not go at all but I’m being obligated to be there. Let’s just say there’s history there with my SIL. I only got invited because of my brother. I don’t want to be around her. I’d rather be with people who actually care about me instead of people who pretend to care.
