I'm a small business owner and I vend at a big show a few times a year. This past weekend one of my helpers was shopping around with the other vendors and overheard one of them making fun of a CHILD walking by with downs syndrome. They walked away and didn't end up buying anything from this vendor.

This particular event is generally regarded as very accepting of all types of people, including and especially people who are a little different. I really feel like a vendor like this being at this event directly goes against the type of environment the show runners want to foster. I don't necessarily know if me saying something would get them removed from the show, but it is a very big event. IF they were to be removed it would likely cause at least a decent hit to their income, but I just can't shake the feeling of disgust I got from hearing about that. I as well as all of my helpers over the weekend are also neurodivergent.

Would I be the asshole if I said something? I would feel bad for potentially causing them to lose out on future money for their business, but this event has a very large neurodivergent customer base. I can only imagine how often they make fun of the people literally giving them money and supporting them.
