I (28M) think my gf (28F) might be trying to baby trap me.

We’ve been together 4 yrs and it’s always been great. We’ve always agreed on the big stuff—no kids, maybe marriage someday but def not now. I don’t hate kids, I just dont want to have any. I like my freedom, hiking, sailing, traveling, all that. Kids would kill that.

She’s been on the pill most of the time we’ve been together. We had a scare like a year ago - she forgot to take it and I freaked. Wanted to use condoms to for a bit. She said she’d be more careful and even set an alarm. Cool.

But lately things have felt…off. She’s been talking about quitting her job, says she’s tired of working and wants to "turn capitalism off." I get it, but I can’t support both of us. We split bills for a reason.

Also she’s been saying I should be doing more house stuff, even tho I already do chores after work and she lets stuff pile up until the weekend. And now she’s acting all into kids? Babysitting her niece, always showing me baby pics, saying stuff like “omg she’s sooo cute.” She never used to care before.

And here’s the kicker—I haven’t heard her pill alarm in months. It used to go off at 8 every night. Looked it up, your supposed to take it same time daily or its not really effective.

Then at a party last week, her and her friends were drinking and I overhear her say, “Going off the pill’s been a huge load off", her friend goes "And you usually love a huge load" and they all laugh like its no big deal?? Like they knew already?? I was shook but played it cool.

Since then I haven’t wanted to sleep with her, and she can tell something’s off. I feel like she’s tryna trap me into being a dad + a provider and just didn’t bother telling me.

Talked to my sis, she says maybe it’s time I grow up and get serious. My guy friends? Said to run.

WIBTAH if I just bailed? I don’t even know if I wanna talk to her about it. Thinking of just packing my stuff and getting gone while she’s at work.
