I'm working self checkout belts today. There's 6 belts but only 3 are opened due to maintenance and software updates. ((Please note that I don't ask to be in self checkout, this is decided by my manager)). I've been yelled at in the past about "not having enough notice" when it comes to closed registers so I put two closed signs up. The screen also says it's closed and the light at the top is red instead of green. Well some lady was unpacking her groceries onto the belt. Not wanting her to put all her stuff into the belt when it's not in operation, I tell her (at least 4 times) that the register was closed. She asked where it said that. I point to the screen then to the signs. She got all huffy and left... She reported me to the manager and said that I remotely closed the lane. Not true at all. We can't even do that. We have to physically go to the register to close it. But was ita?
Please wait...
